Part of the purpose of this podcast is to share my story and the realities of running a small business – and one of those realities is growing pains.
So what do I mean by ‘growing pains’? Well, they can be in all different areas of your business, but the main one I want to focus on today is hiring and support. It can be one of the most challenging growing pains in your business – when do I actually hire someone? How do I find them? Do I even have time to train them? If you’ve gone through this, then you probably know exactly what I mean.
In fact, a lot of people find it so challenging that they put off getting support for way longer than they should and just try to take care of absolutely everything all by themselves. I can tell you now, that’s a recipe for burnout and it’s definitely not going to lead to your best customer experience or for you living a healthy fulfilled life.
In today’s episode, I want to share my personal journey with growing pains in my business, the lessons I’ve learned, and how to approach hiring and getting support so that you can put the emphasis on ‘growing’ – not on ‘pain’!
